"Grupo de Oração Bem Perto de Você" evangeliza moradores do bairro Santo Antonio

A Renovação Carismática Católica da Paróquia Santíssimo Sacramento em Cantagalo, obediente à moção dada por Deus à RCC, “Por causa da Tua Palavra, lançarei as redes" (Lc 5, 5), saiu em missão pelas ruas do Bairro Santo Antônio, localizado na Estrada Cantagalo/Cordeiro, RJ 160. A equipe missionária foi composta por servos e membros dos quatro grupos de oração, em torno de 60 evangelizadores. Como já vem acontecendo desde o ano de 2006 na Paróquia, a missão foi realizada de acordo com o Projeto Missionário Grupo de Oração Bem Perto de Você.

Festa de Corpus Christi
      O brilho que emana da Hóstia Santa, o próprio Senhor, raiou sobre Cantagalo na festa de Corpus Christi deste ano de 2011. De forma brilhante, a celebração da Sagrada Eucaristia contou com uma extensa programação de formação, enriquecimento espiritual e muita festa para exaltar o próprio Senhor presente na Hóstia Santa. Cantagalo tem como padroeiro o Santíssimo Sacramento, e neste ano de 2011 a festa de Corpus Christi marcou a história com um sinal de fé e devoção do povo cantagalense à Sagrada Eucaristia que permanece no centro da cidade.

Pentecostes em Cantagalo

     Após nove dias que compunham a Novena de Pentescostes realizada pela Renovação Carismática Católica da Paróquia do Santíssimo Sacramento, no domingo, dia 12 de junho, a Igreja de Cantagalo recordou fervorosamente a descida do Espírito Santo em Pentecostes. A Novena, contribuidora de um um enriquecimento espiritual admirável, culminou com a celebração litúrgica presidida pelo pároco de Cantagalo, Pe. Marcelo Campos da Silva, unido a toda comunidade eclesial.

  • Santa Ângela de Mérici

    A fundadora das ursulinas, primeira congregação feminina dedicada à educação, nasceu em 21 de março de 1470 no Desenzano, na Lombardia. Os pais da santa, mais piedosos que ricos, a educaram na fé cristã. Ambos morreram quando Ângela tinha 10 anos, que junto com seus dois irmãos se mudaram para a casa de um tio.

    À idade de 25 anos voltou ao seu povoado natal. Ficou muito surpresa com a ignorância das crianças, a quem seus pais não podiam ou não queriam ensinar nem mesmo o catecismo mais elementar. Sentindo-se chamada a resolver este problema, decidiu falar com algumas amigas que de imediato decidiram seguir generosamente à santa. As boas mulheres lideradas por Ângela, começaram a reunir as meninas da cidade e educá-las sistematicamente. Logo, a obra começou a ter seus frutos, e Santa Ângela foi convidada a fundar outra escola em Brescia.

    Por volta do ano de 1533, a santa começou a formar várias jovens seletas em uma espécie de noviciado informal. Doze dessas jovens foram viver com ela em uma casa nas proximidades da igreja de Santa Afra. Dois anos depois, 20 jovens se consagraram ao serviço a Deus e a santa as colocou ao serviço de Santa Úrsula, a padroeira das universidades medievais. Por isso, as filhas de Santa Ângela conservaram o nome de ursulinas. Em 25 de novembro de 1535 foi a data da fundação da Ordem das Ursulinas. As ursulinas se reuniam para ensinar e praticar a oração, executavam trabalhos que lhes eram encomendados e procuravam leva uma vida de perfeição na casa paterna.

    Entretanto, apesar das mudanças, as ursulinas conservam até o dia de hoje a finalidade para a qual foram criadas: a educação das meninas, principalmente de meninas pobres. Nas primeiras eleições, a santa foi nomeada superiora e exerceu o cargo durante os últimos cinco anos de sua vida. A princípios de janeiro de 1540, caiu doente e morreu em 27 do mesmo mês. Em 1544, uma bula de Paulo III confirmou a Companhia de Santa Úrsula, e a reconheceu como congregação. Foi canonizada em 1807.
